Best for travellers already in Rishikesh or Haridwar.
Rishikesh → Jyotirmath (≈ 255 km)
Leave by 6 am. Stop at Devprayag to see the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda meet, and break for lunch in Rudraprayag or Karnaprayag. Reach Jyotirmath by evening and stay there or drive up to Auli.
Auli slopes and Gorson Bugyal
Catch sunrise over Nanda Devi from the upper slopes. In winter, spend the day skiing or in the snow. In other seasons, walk to Gorson Bugyal (3-4 hours return) and continue to Chattrakund if you have energy.
Badrinath & Mana, or Jyotirmath
From May to November, take a day trip to Badrinath temple and Mana village (about 2 hours each way). In winter, visit the Narsingh Temple, the math and Tapovan's hot springs instead.
Jyotirmath → Rishikesh
Leave early to finish the hill drive in daylight. Keep a buffer day in winter and monsoon in case of road closures.
Auli in 6 days from Delhi
A relaxed pace with shorter driving days.
Delhi → Rishikesh
Train or drive to Haridwar/Rishikesh (5-7 hours). Evening Ganga aarti at Triveni Ghat or Har Ki Pauri.
Rishikesh → Rudraprayag
A shorter drive of about 140 km via Devprayag. Rest in Rudraprayag at the Alaknanda-Mandakini confluence.
Rudraprayag → Jyotirmath → Auli
About 150 km. Reach Auli by afternoon and watch sunset over the peaks.
Full day in Auli
Skiing or snow play in winter; Gorson Bugyal walk in other seasons.

Day trip to Badrinath in season, or Jyotirmath's temples and Tapovan in winter.
